John Paul College congratulates Skye T and Jake B, recognised at the 2025 Peninsula Applied Learning Awards for their outstanding commitment to VCE Vocational Major studies, leadership, and community involvement, representing the College with pride and distinction.

Eleven JPC students took part in the Year 8 Academic Challenge Day at Kingswood College, working alongside students from across Melbourne. They tackled a range of academic challenges and left feeling inspired, confident, and proud of their achievements.

Vocational Major students recently gave back to the community through two inspiring projects - volunteering with FareShare to prepare meals for those in need, and collaborating with Frankston RSL veterans to create biographies honouring their lives and service.

Students recently showcased their creativity and confidence through two key opportunities - the SIS Book-in-a-Day and DAV Debating competitions. Both experiences encouraged collaboration, critical thinking and communication, as students engaged in storytelling, argument development and teamwork.

Our Food Technology kitchen garden has grown from seedlings to a thriving harvest, supplying fresh herbs and vegetables for classes and community programs. Students enjoy a true garden-to-plate experience while supporting sustainability, reducing waste, and helping pollinators.

This year’s Chapel Art Competition embraced the theme Pilgrims of Hope, inspired by the 2025 Jubilee Year in the Catholic Church. Students explored hope, perseverance, and renewal through a range of art forms, reflecting personal growth and the strength found in helping others.

Founders’ Day celebrated our heritage, values, and traditions. The assembly highlighted Chaminade House, the Charism of perseverance, and the life of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade, alongside student awards recognising creativity, teamwork, and artistic achievement, inspiring faith and service across the community.

After 13 years of dedicated service, John Paul College celebrates the retirement of beloved bus driver Bill. Known for his kindness, festive spirit and genuine care for students, Bill has created countless moments of joy and connection that will be fondly remembered by the College community.

World Teachers’ Day was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication and positivity of teachers who inspire students every day at John Paul College. Students shared heartfelt messages of thanks, expressing appreciation for their encouragement, care, and support.

John Paul College congratulates Gavan O’Donnell, Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School, on his upcoming retirement after 44 years in Catholic Education. His leadership, faith and commitment to excellence have inspired generations of learners, many of whom continued their journey at JPC.

Students showcased incredible creativity in this year’s Arts Night Competition: Bloom. Inspired by themes of growth and individuality, their artworks reflected imagination, skill, and a deep connection to the idea of becoming who we are.

The I CAN Mentoring Program at John Paul College is off to a fantastic start! Students from Years 8 -11 have embraced sessions focused on teamwork, communication, and self-awareness, developing confidence, leadership, and connection through engaging challenges, reflections, and collaborative activities.
