2026 - Edition 2, Term 1

The College is excited to launch the 2026 JPC TEDx event, featuring diverse speakers, powerful ideas and fresh perspectives. Bringing together voices from across the community and beyond, this inspiring evening is set to spark conversation and new ways of thinking.

Year 12 VM students visited the Frankston RSL, connecting with veterans and hearing powerful firsthand stories of service, resilience and sacrifice. In Term 3, they will honour these experiences by researching and presenting biographies to preserve and share their stories.

The After School Study Program returns in 2026, welcoming new and familiar tutors dedicated to supporting student success. Following a strong 2025, with over 4,300 attendances, the program continues to build confidence, strengthen learning, and empower students from Years 7–12.

Our Year 12 OES students spent two nights at Phillip Island, camping and engaging in hands-on fieldwork. Surfing and visits to the Koala Conservation Centre, Penguin Parade, Nobbies, Cape Woolamai, Churchill Island and Swan Lake explored conservation, recreation and environmental management in real contexts.

Our students shone at the SIS Swimming Relay Carnival on 23 March. The Senior Girls won all four relays, while the Junior Boys claimed victories in the 4x50m freestyle and backstroke. Congratulations to all, and we look forward to the main SIS Swimming Carnival at MSAC in Term 2.

Year 7 students showcased their creativity in the ‘My Place in the World’ Art Competition, exploring identity, culture and community through diverse artistic mediums. Submissions displayed in the Ngargee Centre highlighted the depth of talent and unique artistic voices within the cohort.

The College is excited to welcome Alumni back for the 2026 Reunions. Graduates from 1986, 1996, 2006, 2016 and 2025 are invited to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate milestones with classmates and teachers, enjoying tours, stories, and the chance to relive their JPC memories.

John Paul College alumna Megan Rogers, bestselling author of The Heart is a Star, will be the guest speaker at our Mother’s Day Breakfast. She shares her journey from JPC to literary success, reflecting on her career, creative process, and balancing writing with family life.

In 2026, John Paul College will share MACS CARE updates to show how Child Safe Standards guide our policies and culture. This edition highlights Standard 2, embedding child safety in leadership, governance, and school practices, with families encouraged to stay informed and involved.
