2026 - Edition 1, Term 1

The College came together for the 2026 Opening of the School Year Assembly, welcoming new students, staff, and families, presenting student leaders, celebrating the Class of 2025’s achievements, and launching the 2026 theme: “Alone we leave footprints, together we leave a path."

In 2025, JPC staff and students joined Catholic Mission’s Philippines Immersion, visiting ‘He Cares’ Mission in Manila. Inspired by its weekly feeding of 300 street children, the College raised $733.86 to support meals and education, with more initiatives planned for 2026.

The College welcomed the Frankston Youth Services Team and their Youth Bus, creating a relaxed space for Year 7 students to connect. Snow cones and games sparked conversations, while students learned about Karingal PLACE, holiday programs and youth events. A positive start to future engagement.

Year 11 and 12 students gained valuable insight into life beyond school through inspiring guest speakers and alumni. From paramedicine and policing to music, engineering and biomedicine, students heard honest reflections, practical advice and encouragement as they plan their future pathways.

Alumni are invited to reconnect and celebrate milestone reunions at the College in 2026. The Classes of 2016, 2006, 1996 and 1986 will gather for drinks, nibbles and a tour of the grounds while catching up and reflecting on their shared JPC memories.

Registrations for the 2026 John Paul College Chartered Bus Service are now closed. Families needing a bus seat should contact College Reception on (03) 9784 0200 to check availability.

Regular attendance is vital for student success. Being at school each day builds routine, strengthens learning and supports positive friendships. Families are reminded to follow College procedures for late arrivals, absences and early departures to ensure student safety and wellbeing.

John Paul College continues to uphold the Victorian Child Safe Standards. This first MACS CARE update highlights Child Safe Standard 1 and our commitment to culturally safe, respectful environments where every student’s dignity is valued and supported to flourish.
