The After School Study Program runs during term time, four days a week from Monday to Thursday, 3.00pm – 4.30pm, in the Resource Centre. Students can study individually or in groups, staying anywhere from 15 to 90 minutes on a regular or casual basis.
A key strength of the program is the support provided by our dedicated Tutors – past JPC students who now return each week in a staff role to assist learners across Years 7–12 with their studies and organisational skills. Here we introduce the next members of our tutoring team. They bring professionalism, experience, and a genuine commitment to supporting our students.
After taking a gap year in 2024, I am currently studying a Diploma of Sports Business at the Carlton College of Sport. I love the outdoors and anything to do with sport. My favourite subjects in school were History: Revolutions and General Maths. My favourite part of being a tutor in the After School Study Program is passing on any knowledge I can.
Fresh out of year 12, I went to RMIT to study a Bachelor of Science, however I am currently switching into a teaching course. During my time at JPC I enjoyed Outdoor Education and English. In my free time I like origami and throwing and sculpting pottery. I enjoy being a Tutor because I appreciate the different perspectives and opinions of students across the year levels.
I am currently in my first year at Monash University, studying Occupational Therapy. My favourite subjects at JPC were PE, Health and Human Development, and Psychology. I enjoy being a tutor because it allows me to help students strengthen their skills and reach their full potential.
I joined John Paul College in Year 10 and quickly found a welcoming community. My favourite subjects were English, History, Textiles and Science. After Year 12, I worked as a Youth Minister and Tutor at the After School Study Program before beginning a double degree in Science and Arts at Monash University, majoring in History and exploring options in Immunology or Biochemistry. Having attended the program myself, I know how valuable the support is, and I enjoy helping students build confidence and reach their potential.
