Meet more faces behind the After School Study Program

26 June 2025

The After School Study Program at John Paul College is more than just a quiet place to complete homework - it’s a thriving support hub powered by former students who now serve as dedicated tutors. Each brings their own strengths, study tips, and lived experience as past JPC students to help current learners thrive.

With a total of 17 tutors involved in the 2025 program, we’re excited to continue introducing more of the team. These tutors work across a range of subject areas and year levels, offering tailored support and relatable advice to students navigating everything from Maths equations to exam prep.

Here’s a closer look at a few more of the incredible young people who are helping shape the academic journey of JPC students.

I have been tutoring in the study program since completing Year 12 at JPC in 2021. In 2024, I completed a BA in Psychology and Sociology, and I am currently studying a Master of Social Work. I love tutoring in this program because I really enjoy getting to know the students, connecting with them and helping them on their learning journey.

Hi all, my name is Shania, and I have been a Tutor at John Paul College for the past 2 years. I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science (Honours) at Monash University. I remember my high school years at John Paul College being surrounded by teachers, support staff and tutors who created an environment in which I felt supported and encouraged to strive for academic excellence. I can only wish to do the same. I am always available for students who wish to further their knowledge in Mathematical Methods, Chemistry and Biology.

Our tutors are not only knowledgeable but also understand the learning culture at JPC. Whether it’s clarifying a tricky concept, offering revision tips, or simply encouraging students to stay motivated, they play an essential role in supporting academic growth.

We look forward to showcasing even more of our tutors as the year continues.
