It’s been a huge first half of the year for sport at John Paul College! From weekly competitions to major carnivals and state-level events, our students have represented the College with pride, commitment and enthusiasm.
Throughout the semester, JPC hosted its major House events, including the Middle School Swimming Carnival, House Athletics and House Cross Country - each a fantastic celebration of participation, school spirit and friendly competition.
Across Terms 1 and 2, more than 300 individual students took part in weekly SIS Sport, supported by 28 dedicated staff coaches. JPC fielded 25 teams across 10 sports, with highlights including two Pennant wins in Intermediate Boys Football and Intermediate Boys Cricket.
Our students also excelled at SIS Carnivals, with 137 participants in Cross Country and Swimming. A special congratulations to Lily L (Year 9) (U15 Girls) who broke a U15 Girls SIS Cross Country record - an outstanding achievement!
In Aerobics, two duos and three teams (26 students) qualified for SchoolAerobics State Championships, with two duos and two teams (22 students) progressing to Nationals.
John Paul College was also strongly represented at the All Schools Cross Country (35 students) and the Victorian College Basketball Championships (57 students), demonstrating the strength and depth of our sporting community.
Congratulations to all involved for an incredible start to the sporting year!
