Year 8 Elevate and Explore students recently showcased their end of semester projects in an afternoon of student-led workshops.
This term, Elevate and Explore students focused on developing a growth mindset, practising critical and creative thinking, and learning to communicate their ideas effectively. Their efforts culminated in workshops based on the theme Change Over Time, a concept chosen by the students themselves.
Each student explored a personally meaningful topic, such as the evolution of jewellery and fashion, the history of basketball or changes in navigation techniques, examining how it has changed or developed over time. Students researched, designed lessons, created interactive activities, and refined their presentation skills.
Families, students, and staff were then invited to attend and enjoyed a range of thought-provoking presentations. It was a fantastic celebration of student growth, and JPC is incredibly proud of the professionalism, creativity, and collaboration shown by students all involved.
