From students to mentors at JPC

24 October 2025

The After School Study Program at John Paul College continues to be a vibrant learning community - not just a space for completing homework, but a place where students are guided and inspired by former JPC graduates. These dedicated tutors draw on their own experiences, sharing practical study strategies and insights that help current students succeed.

In 2025, the program proudly includes 17 tutors supporting a broad range of subjects and year levels. Their relatable guidance and academic expertise provide invaluable assistance, whether students are tackling challenging Maths problems or preparing for exams.

Meet more of the talented young tutors who are making a difference in the learning journey of JPC students.

I am Gab and I have been fortunate to be a Tutor in the After School Study Program since 2023. I am also currently a second-year student studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Monash University. Being a part of this program has been really rewarding and enjoyable, since we get to offer support for those looking to achieve their academic goals, and provide guidance for students as they navigate their schooling.

I am currently a first-year Physiotherapy student at Monash University. What I really enjoy about being a Tutor is the chance to share advice from a student perspective, having only recently graduated myself. I love passing on the little insights I picked up along the way to help students feel more supported and prepared.

I am studying a double Bachelor of Engineering and Science at Monash University. I love my Tutor position as it allows me to not only share my love of learning and education with younger generations, but it also provides a fulfilling opportunity to make an impact on student’s learning and development. It is more than tutoring, as we guide younger students to have the knowledge and practice that I wish I had experienced.

I am currently at Latrobe University, studying a Bachelor of Wildlife and Conservation Biology. The study program was so helpful to me when I was at JPC. As a Tutor, I really enjoy passing on what I have learned to current students and helping them improve their knowledge and skills.
