Parent Access Module (PAM) Update

The College is pleased to share an important update regarding access to the Parent Access Module (PAM). PAM is now available again via your web browser. Please note that access through the mobile app (Simon Everywhere) remains unavailable at this time.

SIMON Schools temporarily disabled PAM and associated SIMON services after detecting unusual login attempts. These attempts are currently under investigation. At this stage, there is no evidence that any PAM accounts were accessed, and all information on the platform remains secure. We can also confirm that no other College systems were affected.

Reopening of PAM (Web Only)

The SIMON Development Team has introduced a range of enhanced security measures, including a full password reset for all PAM users, strengthened Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and new account lockout protections. With these improvements in place, web access to PAM has been restored. Further updates regarding the app will be provided as they become available.

What You Need to Know

Password Reset

All users are required to reset their password.
To do this, select “Forgot Password” on the PAM login page and a reset link will be emailed to your registered address.

Password requirements include:

  • Minimum of 12 characters
  • A mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
  • No reuse of your last two passwords
  • No common or easily guessed passwords (including username or email)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA remains active for all users. A 6-digit authentication code will be sent to the registered email address each time you log in. Instructions for using MFA are attached.

Account Lockout Policies

  • After three consecutive failed login attempts, accounts will lock for five minutes.
  • After 10 failed MFA attempts, accounts will require school assistance to unlock.
    All lockout events are monitored by the SIMON security team.

Additional Monitoring

The SIMON platform continues to be monitored closely, with alerts raised for any unusual activity.
