Mission Action Day 3.0 will officially take place on Friday 4 September.
After two weather-related postponements, our much-anticipated community celebration provides an opportunity for us to live out our Catholic faith through service and raising awareness of social justice issues while supporting our 2026 House charities.
The day will commence with Timetable Day 10 classes during Periods 1 and 2. Following recess, students and staff will gather for a whole-school Eucharistic celebration before enjoying an afternoon of activities and fundraising stalls. There will be games, competitions, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved and support worthy causes.
Students are encouraged to wear neat casual clothes and bring a gold coin donation, which will be collected during morning Pastoral (or at Student Services for late students).
This year, each House is fundraising for a charity aligned with its values and commitment to service:
In the lead-up to Mission Action Day, students have already demonstrated their commitment to service by assembling care packages for each of these organisations. These packages have now been delivered, gratefully received, and distributed to families and individuals experiencing hardship. Several staff members also represented the College at the recent COTS Winter Event, helping distribute 100 blankets and toiletry packages to those in need.
Students, staff, and families are invited to sponsor one of these care packages through a $10 donation to our overall fundraising efforts via TryBooking: Sponsor a Care Package.
MAD Festival tickets for food and activities can be purchased online through TryBooking at Purchase MAD Festival Tickets, during lunchtime on Thursday 3 September, or on the day of the event. Pre-purchasing is encouraged to help students avoid queues and make the most of the festivities. All funds raised will be shared equally between the four House charities.
Mission Action Day is a powerful reminder that faith is not simply something we believe, but something we live. By coming together in celebration, service, and solidarity, the John Paul College community continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We look forward to sharing this special day with you.
