Supporting the Future of Catholic Education in Victoria

31 July 2026

Catholic schools play a vital role in communities across Victoria, educating more than one in five students across 494 schools. To continue providing high-quality learning environments for students now and into the future, ongoing investment in our schools is essential.

The Victorian Catholic Education Authority is advocating ahead of the 2026 state election for continued government support for capital investment in Catholic education. This includes funding to upgrade existing schools, create additional learning spaces, support new schools in growing communities, and address planning barriers that impact school development.

As part of this advocacy, Catholic school families are being invited to learn more about the importance of fair and sustainable investment that benefits students, families and communities across Victoria.

You can read the full letter from Professor Elizabeth Labone, Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Catholic Education Authority, here.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Catholic education and for helping ensure future generations of students have access to safe, modern and inspiring learning environments.
