Following the whole College Mass in recognition of the Eucharist and Refugee Week, and thanks to fundraising for the upcoming Mission Action Day, the College community took part in a House-based activity preparing care packages for their House charities.
The initiative saw students come together to assemble bags of everyday essentials for Stella Maris Seafarers (Chaminade House), MacKillop Family Services (D’Houet House), Christmas on the Streets (Olsen House), and Jesuit Social Services (Turner House). Each organisation supports individuals and families experiencing hardship in different communities.
The activity forms part of the connection between Mission and Action at the College, with funds raised through the upcoming Mission Action Day helping to provide the resources for the care packages.
The initiative highlighted how small, collective actions can have a meaningful impact beyond the College community.
