Unit 3 Physical Education students recently welcomed METS Performance to the College for an interactive sports science session, providing a firsthand look at how athletes' physical capacities are measured and analysed.
Through participation in VO₂ Max and Wingate testing, students experienced the demands of both aerobic and anaerobic exercise while observing the collection of performance data in a professional setting. The session reinforced key areas of the VCE Physical Education course, including energy systems, fatigue, and the body's responses to exercise.
The experience offered a valuable opportunity to bridge theory and practice, allowing students to deepen their understanding of sports science and the role it plays in enhancing athletic performance.
