Year 10 Business Management students recently took part in a hands-on market experience, transforming classroom learning into a practical exploration of entrepreneurship, creativity and commerce.
Students worked through the full process of business planning and execution, including sourcing products, setting prices, designing and promoting their stalls, and managing sales. Throughout the experience, they responded to changing customer demand, problem-solved in real time, and adapted their approach as the marketplace came to life.
The result was a vibrant and engaging trading environment, with students experiencing first-hand the energy and unpredictability of running a small business. Many stalls attracted strong interest, with products quickly selling and students making rapid, considered decisions to meet demand.
Beyond the sales, the experience focused on building confidence, collaboration, communication and initiative. Students gained valuable insight into how ideas are developed, tested and refined in a real-world context.
All funds raised through the market will support the College House charities, ensuring the experience also contributes meaningfully to the wider community.
