Our Year 8 students spent three action-packed days at PGL Camp Rumbug, providing experiences beyond the classroom that help students build independence, resilience and self-awareness.
Throughout the camp, students worked in small groups, stayed active and connected with the natural environment - a combination that supports both physical and mental wellbeing. They took part in activities such as canoeing, the flying fox, the giant swing, and the legendary mud run, challenging themselves in new ways and making lasting memories.
On Year 8 camp, I got to speak and collaborate with people I never had the chance to talk to before. The activities were fun and different to anything I’ve done before. It brought the whole year level together even more, and I’ve made lots of new funny memories.
The camp provided valuable opportunities for teamwork, personal growth and connection. It was inspiring to see the Year 8 students embrace the experience, step outside their comfort zones, and support one another throughout the program.
