The College is delighted to welcome Zoe as Deputy Principal – Faith and Mission. Bringing deep experience in Catholic education and a passion for nurturing faith-filled communities, Zoe begins her leadership at John Paul College with energy, clarity and purpose.
In her role, Zoe is responsible for shaping and embedding the College’s Catholic identity across all areas of school life. She coordinates liturgical and prayer experiences, social justice and outreach initiatives, and the spiritual formation of students and staff, ensuring a curriculum that is contemporary, life-giving, and deeply rooted in faith.Having grown up on the Peninsula, Zoe describes joining John Paul College as “a little bit like coming home.” Long aware of the strength of the JPC community, she is energised by the opportunity to contribute to its vibrant and evolving learning culture and to strengthen the way the College’s Catholic ethos is lived and celebrated - from moments of liturgy and prayer to the joy and spirit of the Athletics Carnival.
Faith and mission are inseparable; one must animate the other.
For Zoe, the title Faith and Mission carries deep meaning in a contemporary context. In a world often marked by polarised thinking, she believes faith must propel the community towards mission, and mission must continually shape and deepen faith. Drawing on the example of the Good Samaritan, she emphasises that living faithfully is not simply about observing traditions, but about allowing them to form people in compassion, action and love. Faith may be personal, but mission is where faith becomes visible - expressed through service, presence and abundant life.
Zoe hopes students encounter faith as both a call to action and an invitation into stillness. She is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to participate fully in the faith life of the College through music, scripture, service and creativity, while also discovering the gift of quiet prayer and reflection in a fast-paced world.
In a fast-paced, overstimulated world, moments of quiet prayer, intentional meditation, or sacred encounters through the Eucharist become sources of strength, grounding, and joy.
Social justice remains central to her vision for young people. Inspired by the image of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet on Holy Thursday, she believes service should be woven into daily life, not reserved for special occasions.
Young people today are passionate, aware, and eager to contribute. Social justice taps into that natural desire to make a difference and channels it into a life shaped by compassion, humility, and purpose.
Zoe brings extensive experience in Catholic education, shaped by leadership roles across Wellbeing, Curriculum and Faith. Her work has focused on accompanying young people toward a deep sense of purpose, community and compassion, while empowering staff to grow confidently in their own leadership and spiritual formation.
She has completed a Master of Educational Leadership and a Master of Religious Education through Australian Catholic University, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Curriculum Leadership from the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Diploma of Secondary Education from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) from the University of Ballarat (Arts Academy).
Outside of school, Zoe recharges through simple joys - a well-earned sleep-in, walking her Cavoodle, travelling to places of history and beauty, and leading music ministry at her parish. Music, she shares, remains one of the clearest ways she encounters God.
The College warmly welcomes Zoe to the John Paul College community and looks forward to the leadership, energy and faithful witness she will bring to this important role.
