This year's Subject Preferences and Careers Expo was one of the most well-attended in recent history, with great engagement from students and families across all year levels.
There was a fantastic energy on the night as teachers from every Learning Area spoke with students about the wide range of subjects available at JPC. Families took the chance to ask questions, explore options, and get a better understanding of what lies ahead in their learning journey.
The Expo also welcomed a wide range of external exhibitors, giving students direct access to industry professionals and tertiary representatives, including Deakin University, Monash University, Swinburne Institute of Technology, Victoria Police, the Australian Defence Force, Melbourne City Football Club, AFL SportsReady, and many more.
The careers expo was a very useful, enlightening experience which helped me to select my VCE subjects with more confidence and clarity. Everyone there was really friendly and open to answering any questions I had and greatly assisted me understanding of various pathways.
It was a really buzzing and positive night. Staff were happy to help and it was great to see so many families taking it all in. Great idea to run the presentations in the Donn O’Connor Room this year.
The College thanks all staff, students, families and external providers who contributed to the success of this important and inspiring event.
