Support Our Community Companion Van

The Community Companion Van continues to provide food and practical support to people experiencing food insecurity in our local community.

With the support of our generous JPC families, we are able to keep the van stocked with essential food items for those who need them. As we are no longer partnered with Foodbank, community donations play an important role in helping us continue this work.

If you have the means to assist, we are currently seeking donations of:

• Ready to eat microwave meals (including Sirena Tuna meals and Woolworths branded microwave meals)
• Muesli bars
• Individual packets of chips, with variety packs welcome
• Canned tuna, chicken or salmon
• Canned beans, including baked beans and cannellini beans
• Canned vegetables, including peas, corn and carrots
• Canned spaghetti
• Canned soup

Thanks to a generous donation from a JPC family, we currently have a good supply of two minute noodles and do not require any more at this stage. We are also well stocked with spaghetti, rice and packet soups, although canned soups remain very welcome.

Every donation, big or small, helps us provide practical support to people in our community who may be doing it tough. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity of our JPC families.

Volunteer with us:

Senior School families are also welcome to volunteer alongside their student at our Thursday Community Companion sessions, held from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved and make a meaningful contribution to this important outreach initiative.

To enquire about upcoming volunteer dates in Term 4, please email community.companion@jpc.vic.edu.au.

Thank you for continuing to support the Community Companion Van.
