05 February 2026

The College congratulates Year 12 student Cooper R on his selection for the Victoria Country Under 17 squad at the 2026 Cricket Australia National Championships. Cooper’s consistent performance and dedication at both club and representative levels earned him this prestigious opportunity.

A talented wicketkeeper-batsman, Cooper has scored over 6,000 runs in junior club cricket. At the National Championships, he scored 176 runs and contributed 17 dismissals behind the stumps, ranking among the top performers in his position.

I’ve been playing cricket for as long as I can remember, so being picked for Victoria Country at the U17 National Championships felt like a real reward for all the hard work and hours I’ve put into my game.

His all-round contributions helped Victoria Country secure wins over South Australia, VIC Metro, Tasmania, and NSW Metro, finishing third overall. Cooper’s performances placed him third among the tournament’s top all-rounders and earned him selection as wicketkeeper in the Team of the Championships.

The highlight was winning the third-place game against NSW Metro, especially after they’d beaten us just three days earlier.
