Congratulations to out Tournament of the Minds teams - Edition 13, Term 3

Our Year 8 and Year 9 Tournament of Minds (TOM) teams have been working hard during Remote Learning on their Language Literature and Social Science challenges respectively. They have been resilient in coming up with their props and costumes individually at home and this is a testament to their drive to address the criteria of the challenges. The students have had to put in extra work and time to do this, in addition to keeping up with the school commitments. TOM Judging Day was held on Saturday 29 August and … the results are in!

Well-done to the Year 8 Team (Ashton, Blake, Ebony, Jasmine, Layla, Sahara, and Zach) for achieving 4th place in the Metro Central Region, scoring high in both their presentation skills for ‘Props or Sets’ and ‘Costumes’.

A big congratulations to the Year 9 Team (Alessia, Asher, Chase, Eloise, Janis, Matilda and Niña) for achieving Honours (2nd place) in the region. The team scored high in all sections of the challenge and have been invited to the Victorian State Finals which will be held on Sunday 12 September. The team will prepare for the finals with their teachers, Miss Bell and Mrs Middlebrook. We wish them the best of luck in the 2021 TOM Victorian State Finals!
