The Resource Centre at John Paul College is a purpose-built state of the art facility that provides a range of flexible spaces for use by individuals, small groups and classes.
Our Resource Centre Staff actively engage with the students of John Paul College, ensuring curriculum support and the encouragement of recreational interests. The Resource Centre is staffed with qualified Teacher-Librarians and Library Technicians to ensure our students are supported in their educational needs and the collection is continually reviewed and updated with current and appealing material.
Classes across the College are scheduled into the Resource Centre for research, information literacy and reading lessons, using the newly refurbished Reading Space and Learning Spaces. Individual and small group learning spaces cater to senior students during their Study Periods as well as all year levels during Recess and Lunchtimes.
A primary focus as a College facility is to provide students with access to wide variety of experiences. As a result, the Resource Centre is a vibrant, dynamic and welcoming space for all our students and staff. The Centre is a hive of activity during Recess and Lunchtimes, when many students congregate to socialize and pursue their mutual interests in games, puzzles, crafts, reading and specific clubs (such as Maker Space, Chess and Anime Club).
