'Future Me' Ready
John Paul College provides an exemplary and holistic education; part of this holistic approach is the comprehensive Careers program.
Careers offerings include classroom curriculum, individualised student career meetings, incursions, excursions and expo events.
Students have a range of careers advice throughout their time at the college:
Year 9
Students take a semester long Futures subject. This focuses on collaboration skills, critical thinking skills and project based learning for students to explore future pathways.
Year 10
In Year 10 students investigate careers and courses of interest and are taken to a Careers Expo where they can research University, TAFE, apprenticeships and the like. At Year 10, students have an individual appointment with a parent/carer present to ensure that their two-year program for Year 11 and 12 suits them and their learning style.
