| You are no doubt aware of a number
of major factors influencing your decision about secondary
education. One of the most significant ones is the cost
of secondary education as compared with primary. Because
of the specialised nature of the secondary curriculum, smaller
class sizes are necessary in many subjects. Facilities such
as science laboratories and computers also add to the overall
cost of providing high quality secondary education. |

John Paul College has a commitment
to assist families in meeting the costs of secondary education.
This includes assistance to those families whose circumstances
prevent them from meeting the full cost of fees. If you are
in the situation of wishing to enrol your child at John Paul
College, but believe you are unable to meet the financial commitment
involved, we would be only too happy to discuss this matter
with you in confidence.
As a non government school
our grants from State and Commonwealth fall well short of what
is needed to pay salaries and provide materials and facilities.
Fees are payable and cover tuition, excursions, yearbook, Resource
Centre use, class sets of textbook loans, personal locker and
use of the computer network.
In 2003 the annual Year 7 fee
is $1,910, with an additional per family levy ($420) to cover
repayment of capital loans taken out by the college.
Parents are strongly encouraged
to plan for secondary educational expenses by opening a Target
Savings Account with the Capital Development Fund of the archdiocese.
