Enrolments

Enquiries for all Year Levels are welcome throughout the year. All enquiries will be considered in light of vacancies available at the time. Year 7 intake for the following year Applications close by end February of your child's G6 year. Grade 4/5 Information Evening and full School Tour John Paul College invites parents to attend a Grade 4/5 Information Evening annually at the start of Term 3.

A full school tour conducted by the Year 12 School Captains and Leaders is also offered a week after the Information Evening. The dates for these two events are set at the commencement of each school year. Parents and students who are unable to attend the annual tour, will be offered a mini tour at a time suitable to all enquirers

Tour of the School Facilities Wednesday 28 July 2004 at 4.00 pm via Gate 1 commencing from the Assembly Room

Application for Enrolment and supporting Prospectus are available by contacting the Principal's Secretary.

Enrolment Process: Registration is the first official step in having your child enrolled. The Application should be forwarded with:

• A photocopy of your child's latest report of academic performance
• A photocopy of your child's birth certificate
• A photocopy of your child's baptism certificate
• Registration fee of $100 (non refundable if the application is withdrawn). $20 will be returned if the school is unable to accommodate your child.

Interviews are arranged to inform you of the objectives of the college and to discuss the academic capabilities of your child in relation to the program of studies at John Paul College.

Acceptance is influenced by:

• An estimation as to whether our program of studies is the most appropriate for your child, or our school situation the most desirable
• References and reports from previous school and Parish Priest.

The John Paul College Enrolment Policy has four categories of enrolment in order of priority:

1. Catholic children from the Parishes of the region
2. Brothers and sisters of currently enrolled students
3. Catholic children from Parishes outside the region
4. Other students. Each application judged on its merit and in the light of available places.
